Adapt Movement Inc. is a non-profit organization incorporated in the state of California, and recognized as a Public Charity under IRS code 501c3. The full time team opened the Adapt Functional Movement Center in Carlsbad in November 2017, and despite being a young organization the team brings with them over 35 years of experience in the field of paralysis and neurodegenerative disease recovery. This facility is both the headquarters and the centerpiece of the organization. It is a state of the art 8,500 square foot facility dedicated to providing services and experiences for those whose lives have been impacted by disability. The facility features a 5,000 square-foot open gym space fully equipped to help members reach their physical recovery goals, a member’s common area for friends, family and caretakers to relax and enjoy while the member is training, the world’s first StimLab powered by PowerDot MT which enables members access to personalised EMS (electrical muscle stimulation), private meditation suites for balancing and calming the mind as well as on-site Massage and Psychotherapist. Adapt is considered an integrative recovery center, as we have combined multiple modalities and practices in order to provide an all-encompassing experience for our members to reach their recovery goals. Our programs emphasize building physical capabilities through exercise, calming and quieting the mind through meditation and psychological intervention, and creating a sense of community between our members through social activities and interaction.
